Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains how Work in Canada by ImmigCanada (work.immigcanada.com), operated by ImmigCanada Immigration Consulting Services (“ImmigCanada”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects the information you give us. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the service:
- Account details — your name and email address, and basic profile information (name, email, picture) if you sign in with Google.
- Career profile — target job title, occupation and NOC, skills, work history, education, preferred provinces and job preferences.
- Documents — resumes you upload or build, and cover letters you create or generate.
- Activity — saved jobs, application tracker stages, saved search alerts and searches.
- Technical data — basic logs (browser type, pages used, errors) to keep the service secure and working.
We do not ask for payment card details on this site, government ID numbers, or immigration application documents.
2. How we use your information
- To match you with relevant job listings and show a profile-fit score.
- To build, score and tailor your resumes and cover letters.
- To send job alert emails you have switched on, and essential account emails.
- To provide support, fix problems and improve the service.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse of access passes.
3. AI processing
When you use resume writing, tailoring, cover letter or NOC suggestion features, the relevant text is sent to AI models to produce a draft. This includes models on our own server and trusted AI providers (such as Google Gemini, NVIDIA and OpenRouter).
We only send what the task needs. We do not sell your data or allow it to be used to train public AI models. Always review AI drafts before using them — you are responsible for the final content you submit to employers.
4. Job listings and external sites
Job listings come from public job boards such as Job Bank, LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor. When you click “Apply” you leave our site, and that site's own privacy policy applies. We do not send your profile or resume to employers or job boards — you choose what to share.
5. Sharing your information
We will not sell, rent or lease your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that host our app, send emails and run AI features, under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
- With your permission.
6. Security and storage
Your profile, documents and tracker are private to your account and protected by access controls, encrypted connections and restricted staff access. Data may be stored and processed outside Canada by our service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login private.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. You can block cookies in your browser, but sign-in and saved progress may stop working.
8. Emails
Job alert emails are optional. You can turn them off anytime in your account settings or using the link in each email. We may still send essential account and security messages.
9. How long we keep data
We keep your information while your account is active. Job listings are removed automatically when they expire. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, documents and tracker data, except where we must keep records by law.
10. Your rights
You can view and edit most of your information in the app. You can also ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing contact@immigcanada.com. We will respond within 30 days, free of charge.
11. Age requirement
This service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date above, and tell you by email or in the app about significant changes.
13. Contact us
